Chromebooks and PK-2 Learning Packets

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Information relating to 3-5 grade:

Hopefully, you were able to retrieve a Chromebook from the school according to the schedule that was posted on our website for students in grades 3-5.  If not, you will have another opportunity next week, Monday-Friday, between 1:30-2:30 p.m. This will be a firm time to allow us to prepare for other duties as they relate to re-opening school during the first week.

Remember, parents must complete the Digital Dreamers Device User Agreement, which can be found online at https://www.dekalbschoolsga.org/digital-dreamers/sign-up/ to receive a Chromebook. Both the parent and student signatures are required. After you have completed the User Agreement online, your name will be sent to the school. If you aren't able to complete the application online, a copy of the User Agreement application will be provided to you at school.

We will have a drive-up checkout process whereby the parents will remain in their car. Please enter the back of the school located off Stratford Road and drive up to the roundabout.  A staff member will bring the laptop to the vehicle, and the parent will present their identification and sign for their child's computer. Parents, as a safety precaution, please wear a mask.

Information relating to PreK-2:

Chromebooks for our scholars in grades PreK-2 will occur in the coming weeks once the Chromebooks arrive at the school. Meanwhile, the teachers have prepared learning packets for students to use in addition to virtual learning.

The packets are in covered containers according to grade and located outside the front door of the school on Lakeshore Drive.  Free feel to pick up a packet over the weekend.

It was great seeing our parents and scholars this week during the Chromebook distribution.  We are excited and look forward to having a fantastic 2020-2021 school year.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Dr. Andrews
